Why my Conexant 56K voice modem doesn't work for Fax Server |

We get a lot inquiries from customers with similar questions. See
the images below:
In general, we recommend you to avoid using low-cost modems for faxing, since such modems are usually only tested for data and Internet connections and do not work very reliable in fax mode. However, you may try the followings:
- Choose the second Init Strings in Fax Devices Settings dialog box, or reference this page;
- Check for updated modem drivers from your modem manufacturer's website, update the Modem BIOS;
If the problem still occurs, unfortunately, you have to REPLACE with a new modem.
